（英文）The people’s govement of Danzhai county was founded on 6th, Dec, 1949. There are seven towns and 167 villages (streets) in our county. After the founding of the (PGDC). It is always the important factor of building and the developing home of Danzhai people. Our govement embody (lived through) the Revolution of Land, Three Great Revolution, reform and open to outside and the baptism of the socialism Market economic construction, we accumulated a lot of valuable experience of building beautiful new Danzhai. 中国西部避暑城建设项目，是丹寨县委、县人民政府近年来制定的发展战略。该项目的提出，是在丹寨县现有的独特地理区位、气候条件、生态状况及丰富的民族民间文化资源等有利条件下的战略构想，符合中央关于建设和谐社会的发展目标。该项目的主要内容是：城镇文化娱乐设施建设，旅游业开发，休闲避暑场地设施建设，民族街特色建筑群建设，相关文化产业建设等。

中国西部避暑城建设项目的主要特点是：1、具有前瞻性。该项目符合“公园省”贵州和“苗侗文化民族生态旅游大州”黔东南州文化产业发展的要求。立足现实，着眼未来，是构建“绿色丹寨，文化丹寨，诚信丹寨”战略思维的重要环节。项目实施，将会使丹寨成为特色鲜明，品位高档的中国西部避暑胜地，同时，项目将使县域内濒临灭绝的苗族文化得到抢救、保护和传承发展，有利于增强对本民族文化的认同感和重塑民族精神。 2、具有独特性。项目地处苗岭山系东段雷公山西南麓、贵州高原向广西丘陵过渡的斜坡地段，为长江、珠江两大流域的清水江、都柳江水系上游分水岭。独特的地理区位形成了冬暖夏凉的独特气候，夏季均温21.0℃—25.0℃，冬季均温2.0℃—7.0℃，年均气温12.6℃--17.2℃。县城距贵阳龙洞堡机场160公里，距离黎平机场230公里，距凯（里）麻（江）高速公路51公里，321国道穿城而过。“避暑城”的建设符合“因地制宜”“因形造势”，具有一定的科学依据。丹寨素有“中国芦笙芒筒之乡”、“中国国画纸之乡”、“中国苗族蜡染之乡”、“中国鸟笼之乡”之称，境内民族民间文化资源丰富，以此为文化依托建设“中国西部避暑城”，是独特而不可替代的。3、具有可操作性。丹寨在改革开放20余年中，以交通为主的基础设施建设、生态旅游和文化建设取得了长足进步。丹寨县第十一个五年发展规划，已将文化产业的发展列为主要内容，2005年，丹寨县民族民间文化抢救和保护实施意见已由县委审定行文下发。丹寨县在近几年来，进一步制定了招商引资的优惠政策，县人民政府着力改善硬、软环境，将为外商的投资、融资建设提供更加良好的服务。这些都为顺利实施和科学操作“中国西部避暑城”项目奠定了良好基础。

(英文) “The summer town of west China” construction programe is one of the recent develop stragtegies made by the committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) and the people’s govement of Danzhai. The programe pointed out that under the strategic frame of Danzhai with a unique geography location and climate situation, ecological conditions and a rich cultural resources of national folk and so on. Meeting Demend of center CPC. The main content of the programme, the construction of cultrural and entertaining facilities in towns, develop travel industry, the facilities construction of leisure summer places,the construction of special national folk fashion, building, and relative cultural industry.

1. with a leading feathure. The programe accord with the development demand of “park provence” and “Miao-Dong minority national ecology big prefecture” of the development of cultural industry of south-east of Guizhou province. The programe on the basis reality, look ahead., is a key link of strategy thinking of forming“Green Danzhai, Cultural Danzhai, honest Danzhai”. With the programe put into practise, Danzhai will become a special and refresh, high quality , summer scenery of West China.
